Are You a Military or Veteran Entrepreneur?

March 07, 2016

Entrepreneurship can be a great path for those transitioning from the military, and the skills learned there make for a strong foundation for starting and running your own business.

I’m excited to share an important opportunity with you that can help you grow your business. The Comcast Business Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs Contest gives start-ups and entrepreneurs a chance to win up to $30,000 – for having a great idea on how technology will enhance their business to the next level.

Entrepreneurship can be a great path for those transitioning from the military, and the skills learned there make for a strong foundation for starting and running your own business. But very often, it’s the financial management and funding that is the biggest challenge.

That’s why I want to encourage more military and veteran-owned businesses to enter this year’s contest. So many members of our community are military or veteran-owned businesses, yet they represented about 12 percent of entrants last year. Let’s try to change that in 2016! Tell us how you’d use $30,000 in your business.

Based on the 250-word entries, our judges will select two winners in each of the 15 Comcast Business Regions: one Startup and one Entrepreneur. Each winner will be awarded $10,000 in cash to help their business get to the next level. From these 30 winners, six will be named as GRAND PRIZE Winners and will receive an additional $20,000 and a special trip to Comcast headquarters in Philadelphia – where they will meet with our I4E expert teams to get priceless advice on marketing, operations, digital strategy, funding, technology investment and more.

Go to http://cbcommunity.comcast.com/I4E today for the Official Rules and to enter! Entries must be received by Saturday, March 12th. It could be just the boost your business needs to get to the next level.
